Who we are
Hero provides software for window cleaning businesses. This placeholder policy describes, in outline, how we intend to handle personal data; it will be replaced with a reviewed policy before launch.
What we collect
Account details for the business owner and their staff, the customer records a business chooses to store in Hero, and technical data needed to operate the service. Payment details are handled by our payment providers, not stored by us directly.
How we use it
To provide the service (scheduling, reminders, invoicing and payment collection) and to keep the product secure and working. We do not sell personal data.
Bank statements
To match incoming payments against invoices, a business can upload a bank statement it has exported from its own banking app. We read only what reconciliation needs: the date, the amount, the payer name and the payment reference. Money paid out is discarded during processing and never stored. We keep the uploaded file for one year so a statement can be reprocessed if we improve how we read it, then delete it; the summary of what was processed is kept after that. Hero never connects to a bank account and never holds banking credentials.
Payment providers
Direct Debit collection is handled by GoCardless and subscription billing by Stripe. Their handling of payment data is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
